Holmdel

Holmdel

In Dutch, holmdel means “pleasant valley,” an apt description of this beautiful New Jersey township located just 43 miles south of New York City.

Holmdel is a pretty special place. Not only is it known for being the home of PNC Bank Art Center, an extremely popular concert venue, it’s also got a lot more to offer.

You can spend some quality time in the tranquility and wide open spaces of Holmdel, with thick towering trees surrounding many of its residential neighborhoods. The 619-acre Holmdel Park is one of the most popular attractions in Monmouth County. It’s home to the David C. Shaw Arboretum and fishing areas, 10 miles of trails, sledding and skating areas, and so much more. The park also has two historic sites: the Holmes-Hendrickson House and the Historic Longstreet Farm.

Holmdel’s agricultural heritage can still be felt today in places like Fox Hollow Vineyards, where visitors can enjoy wine tastings, delicious food, and live music on weekends. There’s a similar vibe in Bayonet Farm, which features historic barns and farm animals, scenic trails, festivals and events, and more!
